Rules
As with everything in life there are a few very strict rules: NO GLASS OF ANY KIND WITHIN THE PATCH. NO HARMING THE WILDLIFE WITHIN THE PATCH. NO DISPOSING OF TRASH WITHIN THE PATCH. NO BAREFEET. THERE ARE STICKERS, ESPECIALLY IN THE THORN AREA.
Drink a Lot While Picking
During
the hot summer days, it is very easy to become dehydrated. It can occur
without warning very quickly. Because of this, there is bottled water for sale
and free tap water is available in the
shack.
Things You Might Wonder About
We
will supply a bucket. After you pick your fill of berries, they are
weighed in a pre-measured flat. You will take the flats with you. It is
best not to have the delicate berries stacked on one another too deep.
The flats allow a shallow layer to avoid smashing those on the bottom.
We also have stools available free of charge for those who wish to sit
and pick. Also, please do not throw trash anywhere but in the trash
receptacles that have been placed both at the patch and at the shack.
Again, please do not drop trash on the ground.
Have Fun
We
hope your experience in the patch is an enjoyable one. If you should
have any questions, feel free to yell really loud for either Michael or
Carman. We are so happy with how this project has turned out and more
elated that you have managed to visit in these very busy times. It is
truly a way to get “Folks … back to the real life”.
